fonts on the web might get better...maybe
One of the most annoying problems with blogs and websites in general is that if I create a page and use a font that you don't have on your computer, you can't see it. Which with the high amount of fonts I use (because I love to design with different fonts) and all the different OS's out there leaves everyone sharing maybe 4 or 5 fonts...lame-o! Well I just read an article from webmonkey.com saying that the new versions of firefox and safari will have a way to save the font I'm using on my server and then your computer will pull it off and read it correctly, to allow you to see the font I chose. That may seem silly and useless to you, but pumps me up. My favorite part of graphic design is matching a design with the write type treatment. I'm not saying I'm great at it, I just love it. Going through all 3,000 fonts I have to find the one that fits with what I put together is fun and completes it. So for me this is exciting news, for you, I just wasted two minutes of your life...sorry
